Who Needs The New PSP Go? Well, I do! This console allows users to be able to do everything that want when it comes to entertainment. Games and more games will be available in a few months from now for purchasers. This may be a cash cow for the Sony name.

You will be able to download your games, video and music directly from the PlayStation store. Oh, I may have forgotten to mention that you will be able do all this over a wireless connection. Sony is really trying to make this work and make your life less stressful since most us gamers already know the PSP Go is without those precious UMDs (Universal Media Discs) we have grown accustomed to over the years.

Accessories such as memory cards and a small selection of games come with the package for the PSP Go. Of course, you’ve heard all the pouting over the price. So, be prepared to fork over about $50 dollars more than you spent for its predecessor. If you get a chance to see and hold one, you will agree it’s worth the money despite the fact you lose a few options with your purchase or if you’re replacing an older gaming console.

Some really nice pluses include being able to watch any movie and listen to songs on your portable device. The PlayStation store is always available because of the Wi-Fi connection. The applications are there also and rumor has it there will be many more as everything begins to unwind. Does the pressure of other competitors cause some concern for the PSP Go? No, it appears Sony has prepared for any possible flaws and setup is pretty good.

The ability to get the device in one package would be unbelievable. It is expected to be one of the hottest electronic items geared up for the holiday seasons (if people can wrap their head around the price). History has shown that gamers will be a hungry bunch for this device after the price grumbling settles down.

Sony is also introducing an application called Media Go, which allows users to manage their PSP files as well as those on your PC. The downloads available are tons and tons of music, images and videos. This product should set the bar for the gaming industry. Older PSP consoles are not compatible with the new PSP Go.

Make sure you research the unit and understand what you may be giving up by upgrading from your older console. Understandably, the price is a little steep, but once you see this little device in action, you will understand. Not everyone will love the new PSP Go platform, but most should because it is a beautiful product with some really nice features. For those die hard gamers, just look at it this way, it’s small and compact and can be placed in your pocket for safekeeping. Instead of having to lug around all those gaming discs, you can play when you want and where you want because all your games will be stored on your internal memory. What a deal.
